February 17, 2017

A group of hyenas may be called a cackle and a group of owls may be called a parliament - but a group sale? I like to call that a win.

A group sale is an elusive creature that can drive 10 to 100 to even 500 tickets. If you know group sales - you know it can be a challenge to market them. How can you reach audiences that buy large quantities of tickets? Are they only in our dreams?

January 18, 2017

As the analytics lead at Capacity Interactive, my job revolves around on-site behavioral data - collecting it, analyzing it, making informed decisions and strategic recommendations based on it. Every client is unique - in who they are, what their objectives are, what kind of content they have, how their website looks, what tech platforms they use, etc.

Lights, Camera, Facebook Live

December 14, 2016

All of a sudden, Facebook Live is everywhere. There is a full-page ad for “the first camera for Facebook Live” in the Nov-Dec issue of New York Magazine. There is a new Facebook alert when a trending event is Live.  There were endless speeches live streamed on Facebook during the 2016 Presidential election cycle, not to mention the more lighthearted Ricky-Gervais-in-a-bathtub type of streaming that pops up in your Newsfeed.

How Arts Organizations Can Woo a Millennial, From a Millennial

November 28, 2016

First of all, let me just get it out there — I am a millennial. I grew up with the Internet. I wear big headphones. One of the things I love most of all is the fall dance season in the city. There is so much dance to see in October and November that I have to come to terms with the fact that I just won’t have the time and energy (I’m intensely introverted!) to attend everything that I want.
